Every smile and treatment plan is different. Following your complimentary consultation, our team will provide a clear explanation of the recommended treatment, the total treatment fee, available insurance coverage and payment options. There is no obligation to begin treatment.

We offer flexible payment arrangements designed to make orthodontic treatment more manageable for individuals and families.

Depending on your treatment plan, payment options may include:

• Interest-free monthly payment plans
• Flexible down-payment options
• Payment by credit card, debit or other accepted methods
• Extended payment arrangements for qualifying treatment plans
• A courtesy for payment in full at the beginning of treatment

Our treatment coordinator will review the available options with you and help create a payment schedule that works for your family.

Before treatment begins, you will receive a complete written financial agreement outlining:

• The total cost of treatment
• Your initial payment
• Monthly payment amounts
• The anticipated payment schedule
• Services included in your treatment fee
• Any potential fees that may apply outside the original treatment plan

There are no surprises. You will have the opportunity to review the agreement and ask questions before deciding to proceed.

Care Orthodontics offers direct billing to participating insurance companies whenever permitted by your insurance provider.

Our team can help you:

• Determine whether your plan includes orthodontic benefits
• Submit an orthodontic predetermination or treatment estimate
• Understand your coverage, lifetime orthodontic maximum and payment schedule
• Coordinate benefits when more than one insurance plan is available
• Submit eligible orthodontic claims directly to your insurance company
• Track insurance payments throughout treatment

Depending on your insurance company and policy, insurance payments may be sent directly to Care Orthodontics or reimbursed directly to you.

Please remember that your insurance policy is an agreement between you and your insurance provider. Estimated insurance coverage is not a guarantee of payment. Patients or account holders remain responsible for any portion of the treatment fee not paid by insurance.

Orthodontic insurance often works differently from regular dental insurance. Many plans provide a lifetime orthodontic maximum rather than renewing the benefit every year. Payments may also be distributed over the duration of treatment instead of being paid all at once.

Before beginning treatment, we recommend confirming:

• Whether orthodontic treatment is included
• The percentage of treatment covered
• The lifetime orthodontic maximum
• Any age restrictions
• Whether a waiting period applies
• How and when benefits are paid
• Whether a referral is required by your plan

Our team will assist you with this process and provide the documentation your insurance company requires.

When more than one member of the same immediate family receives orthodontic treatment at Care Orthodontics, a family courtesy may be available.

Family members do not necessarily have to begin treatment at the same time. Please speak with our treatment coordinator for complete eligibility details.

Some children benefit from early or Phase I orthodontic treatment before all permanent teeth have erupted.

When a child completes qualifying early treatment at Care Orthodontics and later requires comprehensive Phase II treatment, an applicable portion of the early-treatment fee may be credited toward the second phase. The exact credit and eligibility will be explained before early treatment begins.

A payment-in-full courtesy may be available when the complete treatment fee is paid at the beginning of treatment.
